Scott - it's okay to like decay! the rest of the island is not too good for shooters. nice bay views, but this is the only interesting building that photographers can get into; we keep hoping that they do not 'restore' it.
Interesting angle, and I, too, like the texture. On a lighter note, this hospital looks pretty sterile and clean, even in its state of closure and decay!
santos - funny you should ask about darkness. on my calibrated screen my images always look a little darker that those I post here. but you are right, the darker images are better (to my eyes).

Hi Tom, Love this image. I, too, would love to see this with more contrast and maybe some 'excessive' sharpening. Seeing the detail in the peeling walls, floors, and steps would add to the "loneliness and abandonment" that you must have felt when you were there.
