p.1 #1 · In the style of Chuck Close.

Over a year ago, when I was on my mosaic binge, I read about Chuck Close and was fascinated as to how to simulate this. Failed at that time, but recently, they ported the Filter Factory plugin for the GIMP and one of the presets for it was Vasarely Mosaic. With this filter/preset, and a few other tweaks, I believe I have Chuck nailed. What do you think?

Thanks Terry; you aren't the only one who referred this to Lego like (other forums that I frequent). lol

not too bad, not quite as realistic as his somehow are (IMO), but not a bad rendition of his style.

Best regards,

Thanks Ellis. You will never replace a true artist style with a simulation like I did here. His work is quite cool too. Not posting, but I've played with Displacement Map distortion some to get a closer approximation, but, again, always hats off to the artists of any style. I'm a simulator and get enjoyment by doing approximations.
