Not sure what an Eolian Force is, but this is a cool shot! I like how you can see the sand blowing in the wind.

Thanks Jim. Eolian = wind. I'll be using this in a project describing sand dune formation. It's one of those shots that take me right back there whenever I look at it.

Hey Walter, that is interesting, is Eolian a scientific term then? Granted it's been a while since I have taken science, but I don't remember that term.

Yes. Eolian or aeolian are acceptable. The reference material I'm working from uses eolian.
Basically, desert inland sand dunes are formed by wind transporting sediments into a basin area where the wind will slow down and deposit the particles. In the area of my interest (Mojave Desert), sand dunes are usually found in a reasonable proximatey to mountains and often dry lakes (playas). Ripples in the dunes are formed, from what I understand (I'm not a geologist), by a process called saltation, which are short hops caused by wind (eolian action).
