Not very much a landscape photographer. However just a few shots from Adirondack Park, NY, USA. We had a beautiful weekend out there. Lot of fun and positive energy. I'd like to see some critique.
Hi, rg.
The 2nd and 4th are very pleasing images for me. Really lovely scenes.
The first's light is a little harsh, but I like what you're going for. Good candidate for blending exposures to even out the hard contrast.
In the 3rd, I'd probably crop out all the sky to focus on the nice reflections.
You should shoot more landscapes.
Barry, hit it right on the head with very solid suggestions. One thing in general to watch for since you aren't shooting too many landscape shots, is to watch the edges of the frame for things just poking in, or don't fit with the rest of the scene. Like in #4, I would crop off the lower left corner, as you have just a little bit of that green tree poking into the frame, and it totally breaks up all the nice fall colors you have in the background.
