Fall on the creek and the river would be a more accurate title, as the first couple of shots are actually along the Wildcat Creek in Lafayette, IN, and the last is on the Wabash River, a scene I love to shoot every year. The leaves still haven't reached their peak yet (although some of them look like they have), but they still have an awful lot of color that reflects beautifully in the water or contrasts nicely with it. Thank you for taking a moment to look.
Beautiful area. Up here on the Mississippi river there is still a lot of Duckweed around but the colors sure have peaked. I think it would be neat to do a photo essay with the same setup every year or even between seasons over a longer time frame. I am a bit too busy now to take on that ambitious of a project with any consistency so I will leave it to those of you with more time on your hands
Number 1 is the most interesting to me.
The shore line on the right anchors me.

I think #2 is my favorite, it has the most clarity and artistic direction. Perhaps it could be further improved by a little saturation and/or contrast boost?

I think that would be a great project as well. It's the consistency part that I have difficulty with though. Thanks for commenting.

Thank you Dan. It is a nice place, and fortunately the water level was low enough to allow me to get right down to the water's edge. A few months ago the water was several feet higher, completely submerging the shoreline and much of the bank alongside the creek.

Thank you for the nice compliments; it's always nice to hear from you. It started raining today and a lot of the leaves came down, but there are still enough trees that haven't turned yet to provide a lot more shooting for a couple of weeks, so hopefully I'll be able to share some even nicer photos soon.
