Not much colour here for another month or so , so here's one from my archive . Still uploading through my old laptop , so I hope this image displays properly !
Hello Colonel,
Good to see your posts again!
This is a lovely rural scene, very inviting as I want to know what is further up that road.
Hardly any colour here either. I hope it's not going to be one of those autumns were the wind and rains destroys all the leaves before they turn yellow and red.

Lovely light and fall color in the canopy and a beautiful and inviting country lane.
Very cool road shot, and a pleasing image, Adrian.

Thank you Barry . With luck you'll be just in time for the best of the autumn colour here . I look forward to seeing you.
I like the inviting look of the road - looks a bit of a steep hill to me - through the lovely Autumn colour. I do think, as Ute, that we are in for a short Autumn here, although it's beautiful and sunny at the moment.

Many thanks Ute . We need a few early frosts to bring out the colour ; I know you keep a close eye on the forecasts , so you shouldn't miss any opportunities !

Thank you , Martin. Yes , I am enjoying the current spell of sunshine , and hope that we have a good run at some fine autumn colour this year . It may well be a case of ' get out there quick before the next storm' --- so keep your powder dry and your marching boots handy !
This is lovely Adrian. Really like tree line roads and road images are always enjoyed by me. It appears a number of leaves are already dropped and on the ground and there is a range of colors still in the trees.
