So I have an Imac and I've never had any problems putting my compact flash in my reader and having it come up on the desktop. Well I just shoot some photos put it in and it worked then ejected it. I went back a few minutes later to put it back in and it says the disk is not readable on this computer. I tried all my other CF, restarted, tried different usb ports and it works on my friends PC. Any help would be great thanks.
what happened when you tried other CF cards? If they work in your iMac, it could be the first card. If they dont, perhaps the iMac reader is malfunctioning. It can happen!

are you using an external card reader with a USB cable? what about the cable - did you try swapping it for another as a test?
