I've been seeing these twins in this area all summer, but never when I had my camera handy. Been workin' too many hours too, so I haven't been out to shoot in 7-8 weeks. Anyway, I was cleaning up in the kitchen the other morning when these deer wandered into the yard. I grabbed my camera. (which is set up for these encounters when I'm home), and snapped a few from the kitchen window. They were too close for the 400, so no full body shots. Then I slowly worked my way out to the deck and shot some more. All but 2 are pretty much full frame.
The first 3 are through the window, and the rest are from the deck. Thanx for looking - c&c appreciated.
1 this is the male twin - they have lost there spots now, and I couldn't find them
2 - you can see the acorn in her mouth
3
4 - shot between 2 chairs on the deck
5
6 - Not a great shot, but I found it interesting. If you look close, you can see the other twin is behind the one on this side and also nursing.

Lucky you Ron...
There was a time I would have deer in the yard as well.... Back home in Sweden. Here there's no way.
Super cuteness factor series.
Top picks - # 4, 5 & 7
Lil
Thanx Lil, deer frequently visit my yard, but not normally in good light. BTW, did the seeds sprout?

Ron.
I second the cuteness, Lil mentions. It does also prove-we should always have our camera, nearby.
Cheers

Thanx Harry. I wish I felt comfortable leaving my camera in the truck during the summer - I'd be able to do more.

I especially like the beahavioral shot...Now that is really really COOL...
It certainly pays to have the camera ready!
Good job!
Thanx booju. I wish I could have filmed it, it was rather comical.
