Did you do these without someone else behind the camera? If so my hat really goes off to you. I can't seem to get the focus right when I am taking self portraits in the studio...I probably shouldn't admit that.
Thanks everyone, I am quite happy with how they turned out. I was thinking I liked the color version better... Now I know.

I composed handheld with my girlfriend in the frame and then setup the tripod, pre focused, set exposure and put it on manual focus. I then set the remote to shoot a shot every 2 seconds. I ran out there, did a couple poses and ran back. Checked the shots and moved on when I was happy.
It's easier to do if you have something to prefocus on.. I recommend putting a light stand where you are going to stand to focus on and then move it as you jump into the spot.
