I have never posted an image in this forum before but after reading the "Dont be afraid to post photos" thread by canerino here are a couple of my grandson from last weekend
He is 10 months and before he arrived I never really bothered taking photos of people at all but after a lot of reading from this forum and the FM thread "show us you studio set up" I brought 2 umbrellas and stands and use 2 580 flashes.

Nothing showing here Chris. It looks like there is some kind of copyright protection preventing the images displaying.

Yes you are quite right I forgot these were in a locked album on zenfolio they should show now though

Cute little fella for sure!

I have no experience posing children but I bet it is pretty tough. You seem to have done a nice job capturing him on a very non-distracting background and got him looking up with nice wide eyes.

My only suggestion would be to maybe tone down one of the two lights so it isn't quite so uniform across the picture? Maybe this is my inexperience speaking, as he probably would be wiggling around too much for any kind of lighting precision.

Cute kid. Great eyes on that second shot.

The jacket is somewhat distracting to me. I like to focus on the person, not on writing or loud patterns on clothing (generally speaking).

Keep shooting and keep posting.

overall exposure looks good, but lighting looks a bit flat. Try turning your fill back. try to get him to look at the camera next time.

very good first work if you've just got your off camera lighting recently.
