Here's the back story -- Carrollton, Kentucky is a small town on the Ohio river that was a major player in the tobacco business years ago. It was packed with enormous tobacco drying sheds and hosted auctions that drew buyers from all over the world, with auctioneers who were top-ranked examples of the breed.
The tobacco business is defunct there now; the huge sheds are mostly either torn down or falling down. I shot this stack of stored pallets at one of the abandoned Golden Burley sheds a month ago. It's all gone now. I thought that for a stack of old lumber it was pretty colorful.
Very interesting shot, some nice colours and shapes there. Unfortunately I can't view the whole shot on my monitor which doesn't help with the whole feel of the shot, perhaps posting a smaller version would help.
The subject is very good but I also would have liked to see more of the right hand side of the image showing the names. Contrast and saturation are great for me!

Thanks much for the comments. It is cropped a little bit; I'll look at it again and see if I can see a better way to frame it. I like where the break in the stacks falls, but it's worth another look.
Whoops, I checked the original and it is NOT cropped left and right at all, just a bit off the top and bottom to fit an 8x10 print, so no luck on showing more of the names on the right. I have a handful of other shots of the scene, but none that I like as well. Next time...
