I have been back and forth with Canon for a long time. The last trip went to Canon NY engineering Dept for evaluation then to NJ for the final work.
Two 40Ds', a 70-200 2.8 IS, and a 300 f/4. It's too long a story but my gear has been made worse than when sent. After several trips it's still not right.
So with high hopes I get the gear back and shoot for a week and still find the 70-200 and the 300 too soft wide open.
Before is send them back I want to show you three 100% center crops made in good light at high shutter speeds. An f/2.8, 5.6 and an 8.
My 17-55 is tack sharp @ 2.8 on both bodies. The lenses show the same results on both bodies.
