i really like this, rule of thirds, framing inside the picture, and the yellow and turquoise stand out well against the barn wall, the only thing i would try is maybe cloning out the reflection in the window, i find that it takes away from it a little, other than that its good
Made me chuckle. I like the photo; no worries about the composition. Nice exposure, lots of interesting textures. If it were mine, I'd change the greenish window to a bright blue to fight the yellow paint, but that's a minor quibble.

But the paint container turns the picture from pretty to peculiar for me. The two scenes don't fit together.
So for me very strong technically but odd.
I have to agree with this. I like the window and the barn, but where the paint tray is just isn't natural. If it were sitting on the ground (as if it was just about to be used) I think that would work for me, but you probably wouldn't have the window in frame.
Interestingly, I was visitng my sister-in-laws friends up in Vermont. The owner of the barn is a master woodworker and the barn is his working studio. He had left the paint and tray where it was captured, balanced from the sill. The contrast/oddness of the scene was what caught my attention. Seems like it works for some and not at all for others. Personally, I think the yellow, accurately captured, is a bit intense.
Just to comment on the subject matter, as it has been mentioned . . .
Maybe if the paint tray were the same color as something in the picture (indicating that someone had actually been painting something in the photo) it would work better for me.
My first thought was, why is this paint tray here? Maybe I think too much.
