This year I decided to add these primes (85 1.2 and 24 1.4) to take those
wonderful shots and avoid flash photography in the ceremeny, well for whatever
reason the brides when chosing photos on my PC the pick up the ones with flash which were taken with the zooms as I only put the primes to take those spcials shots.

the key thing is your not comparing shot to shot. just the shots u seem to think are special you use the primes for? obvioulsy the client doesnt think the shots are that special
Ironically I have found that a lot of shallow DOF shots are not as well liked. No idea why, but shots that I thought were technically very good with nice bokeh and even a pretty smile just don't seem to appeal as ones with less DOF. Could just be girls think they look better with more DOF.

Whaaaaattt? Maybe you guys should just ask them what they like and don't like about certain photos. I love getting feedback after the engagement session so that I understand what the bride is looking for in pictures of herself
