Hi,

Anyone know if there is significant difference on 70-200/2.8L AF speed when comparing one from 1997 and one from the past few years? I could buy this old one kinda cheap and I'm thinking should I go for it..

Same lens, same lens design, same performance. If it hasn't been abused there's no reason to favor a newer lens. I have Canon EF lenses that are nearly 20 years old that work fine.
