OK, forgive me first of all. I just switched yesterday from a LOOoooong time Canon user to Nikon. I am a wedding shooter and always shot Canon 1 series bodies. 1DmkII and 1DSmkII. Anyway, with the Canon 1D's I did not have any options to change the RAW file recording method. It was just RAW. Nikon has the "Lossless compressed" "compressed" and "uncompressed." Which one would be equivalent to the RAW on the Canon 1D's? I know it is not compressed. Lossless compressed is the default.
Thanks for your help!
lossless compression is what it says: lossless. There is no difference except file size. You might as well compare it with ZIP-files on your computer. After extracting the content is still the same... lossless.
I use lossless too.
