How does one shoot one of these?

I can't even find a definition for what these things are.

Any idea how you shoot for one of these?

I'd love to learn how these are executed. Any tips/tutorials/videos would be super!!!

Thanks,

Michelle

This is my guess - PTGui

Look at their web site http://www.ptgui.com/ and see the bits of the cathedral photos .. from this example I feel it should be possible to create an irregular montage

You can download a trial version and play with it and see if this can achieve your effect

Good Luck

Looks like a panarama mosaic to me. I think they left the seams intentional (along with leaving the carry overs instead of cropping) for added effect which is cool. A lot of freebies exists that does this. Colin gave very good advice.

Very easy to do Michelle , just a serious of freehand shots from roughly the same position and then layered in Photoshop , the more shots you have to work with the more creative you could get .

Create a blank document and make it much longer than higher , bring in your shots to separate layers transform blend and arrange as you like lining up different elements to get an abstract of the room .

It's actually really EASY. All you have to do is take a series of shots from one position and use Photomerge in CS3. Photomerge will put it together for you. You don't even havve to layer them. It works best with a "normal lens. Avoid wide angles.
