The beauty of using a camera with a small sensor is that the lens is ultra wide angle (the 35mm equivalent to a 5-8mm lens) so you'll get a lot more depth of field than using a DSLR and a macro lens. The trade off is in image quality -those photos look sharp because they are small. I've made prints on canvas up to 60x90cm that are so sharp you can still see the texture in a beetle's carapas...
