Mark III and 500 with 1.4x is serving you well my friend !! Well done and looks like some great light on shot 6.
What are ya thinking on the AISERVO shots with the Mark III?
Have you Micro Adjusted your lenses?
Love the color and detail of the Northern Shoveler in number 7.

Hi Anthony.. First off, The models will be coming soon
The Mark 3 Since you asked, here is my brief view on the M3 compared to the M2 The AI Servo has improved since we first bought our first cameras back in June of last year, Two things contribute to this 1. the firmware has helped and 2 the fix has helped. Are they as good as the M2 now? I really don't think so as far as tracking a subject in a busy bkg. other then that, the AI Servo seems darn close to the M2. Should it be better? you bet it should.
Camera count: I'm on my 4th Mark 3 Body and Ron is on his 3rd.
Micro Adjust: yes, Ron and I both did this to all of our lenses, its a great tool. Use it!
Ron and I are still on the bubble, just because we post nice sharp images doesn't mean we don't get any that are soft and out of focus. It happens to anyone using any camera. there is user error that helps contribute to these images as well.
Here's a video of Ron (on the right) and Me (on the left) shooting at one of our favorite spots for ducks, this was taken a few weeks ago with my Canon G9 " target="_blank" rel="nofollow">6 minute Video
Great job, Chad--excellent detail. I agree with your accessment of the MKIII. I am getting the best images ever with mine--but the focus against the bg is not as good as it really should be. I love the camera, and would not give it up--but hope someday it is tweaked to perfection.
I was going through number I love - - when I come upon a Black Swan. Wait a minute... Did you take these at a zoo? Black Swans live in Australia as far as I know....
# 3, 5, & 7 are my picks - - after the Black Swan.

Pete
Hi Pete, Yepper thats a Black Swan... These are year round residents at the local sanctuary. We are very lucky to have these beautiful swans to admire and photograph. Since you and others seem to like them I will include a few more older shots I took below.
These were taken in May of 2006, I'm pretty sure the one I posted above was one of the little ones in these photos below. These Swans are in an open area and free to go were they please.
Wonderful images Chad! I looked at the whole video. You guys were shooting in synchronised mode....tac tac tac tac tac tac tac tac
Gotta love the burst sound from that MKIII
It looked pretty cold out there.....here in Italy we're already in t-shirts (almost)!
