I have Photoshop CS2, but my installation disk was destroyed (kids got it).
I want to upgrade to CS3 and install it on a new computer build. Do you know if CS2 has to be installed in order to install the upgrade version of CS3, or will it just ask me for my CS2 serial number?
The upgrades used to look for the old install, but when we upgraded computers and software here at the office, it just asked me for the old serial number.

I just installed the CS3 update. CS3 first looks for an old install. If it doesn't find one, it asks for the serial number of a previous version.
Thanks for the help.
I was hoping it would just confirm my CS2 serial number without having CS2 installed on the new computer build. It sounds like that will work!
I appreciate your feedback.
