Yo Nello,

I have no idea what your doing with the colors on these. The saturation is freaken out there buddy. Are you doing HDR Bird Photography

Besides the extreme color saturation I really like 3 and the pose in the tree
The Turtles......... 5 ??

The Peacock 7 is out way out there buddy!! I really like the over saturated colors on this one and would look very kewl printed.

Gud piktoors buddi and ur englesh is bary guud

Nello, love the the pics of Luigi. He is a very handsome fellow. Congrats on the nice post.

P.S. What part of Italy are you from? My boss, Dr. Bruno left yesterday for Italy to track down some cousins of his, but I am not sure where it is exactly that he is looking for them. Thanks for the info

OK, first challenge question, can I phone a friend on the Turtle count please Now I think it is a trick question, 'how many turtle heads can I count', easy my friend, as many as you need me too

Again, your processing is quite a statement, you have developed a very identified style, I like that Nello, very cool stuff. First shot is a great fill flash shot, maybe you did little work on the eye but very nice, like it! I like #4 alot, just a neat pose, and neat details in the shadows of that eye. Oh, and on #6, you my friend stold the show from ANT, man he has nothing on your 'chop', I mean that is a CHOP!
#10, good thing for -2/3 rds, saved the shot, neat little puff ball And to fininsh the show, last shot of the Ibis wings is just lovely

Way to do it Nello!

Congrats on your new camera body, Nello. You'll be enjoying the 40D: it is a very good camera. Very good images and very good job with the fill flash. The italian sparrow is my favorite. I also like the composition of the Peacock and the wings display in 12. Of the Luigi series # 3 is my pick.

Nello, where do I start? Well let me start at 6, this is exactly what I say to you zoom guys, ZOOM!!! Too funny, nice sharp shot but you need to pull that 400 -100 back when this happens You're (notice my proper English ) making me laugh.

The peacock is wonderful, it made me say wow. I like the impact of the shot, I think it is the comp as much as anything.

4 turtle heads by my count buddy!!

The Ital sparrow is wonderful.

12 is my favorite.

PP comments. This is your normal style. The peacock, only the body is over the top. The other shots are pure Nello, bump the hue of the greens and push the sat a tad, no big deal. Love it. That is one thing I really liked about comparing your greenies to mine, how we each treated the PP. I like mine, your style is different but I like it also.

Nice set my friend

Always the same story w the peacock I swear (again) I didn't even moved the colour slider in DPP (set to 0) for the peacock...it's iridescent blue maybe next time I should go -1 or -2 in DPP
Oh yeah btw HDR doesn't have anything to do w colours...it extends the dynamic range..you know that "thing" between deep black and bright whites
You nailed the turtles on the 1st go
Glad you liked #7...that shot make me go wow while looking at the camera's Lcd
those guys put on an impressive display 4 the girls!
Sparrow with no leg: here's what happened...he didn't pay the protection fee so someone gave him a warning next time it's a wing LOOOOL
Hey I like your "new" english better

Best place to drain your credit card though

Hi Nello,

Congrats on your new 40D! I know you'll be pleased with it especially after the 350. Sorry to hear Luigi fled the scene but he did give you some last good looks. I really like the shadows/light in #3. But my fave is the #7 peacock. Stunning! And everything is in perfect focus. Good exposure on #10 using the BetterBeamer, too.

I count 4 turtle heads

Best Wishes,
Steve

Hi Nello,
Its nice to see Luigi again and these are beautiful and clear photos of him but it feels like you have lost an old friend. That one of the peacock, #7, made me go wow too. I went back to look at it a few times. Beautiful bright colors and the composition is superb. Did you use a flash on it? Very nice Ibis and that sparrow is just great too.

No outside help allowed for the turtle count Karl
in #6 cutting the wing off wasn't enough so I wanna push it even further "creatively" so I chopped the beak too
#4 I didn't do any PP on the eye...it was just one of those lucky shots when he would have that eye protection thingy on so the eyes don't turn red like usual. It only happened in 2 shots in my whole collection.
I'm still struggling w the BB at short distances...it's too powerful if the bird is just a few meters away.....sometimes I dial in more than -1 FEC !
Glad you liked the ibis shots...they're becoming quite common here

Yeah I wanted to slap myself w the 1-400 for missing the framing on that sequence
Turtle heads are 5 got you w that one...there's a head in the oof area under the pink flower
Glad you liked the over the top peacock a co-worker of mine who lives near that park told me there're 3 males now! I never managed to see the females though I gotta pay a visit again
Hey i'm working on the limo-birding files
