The sad thing is... this is happening. :-(
But I like my photo and am having a blast with my D300 and SB-600. :-)

I gave my soon to be ex a Rebel XTI for our wedding a mere 8 months ago, so I figured I deserved a much better system for my early divorce present. :-P

I think the BLOOD RED of the fabric sums it up well.... ;-)

Truly though, I think all my photography/art is cathartic to some degree or another. Otherwise, I probably wouldn't do it.

I think a really hot red-head would be more relief at this point though! hehe.

Hi,

The meaning behind this shot is so poignant it is a bit hard to comment, but I really like the shot. Great use of depth of field and it certainly tells a story. If you are able I might crop from the bottom just a little. I find the white draws me away from the focal point of the shot just a little. Good luck this week and best wishes on your new beginning.

I know what you mean about the white distracting, but it's important, both as a foreground element and a foreshadowing of lighter times ahead. ;-)
