p.1 #1 · What to do in Vegas?

Besides gambling. I'll be in Vegas the first week in Feb. Are there any good places close to Vegas if I have a day to spare and a rental car? How far is Death Valley and what's it like in early Feb?

Valley of Fire State Park is about 60 miles NE and smaller than Death Valley so it is easier to cover in a day - and well worth it. 25 miles to the west is Red Rock Canyon and it's also worth spending some time exploring. Death Valley is 125 miles away and needs several days to do right. I go to Vegas every year for CES (next week) and try to get to either Red Rock or Valley of Fire as DV is best done on its own.

Peace,

Todd
