I took some shots of Frogmouth chicks a couple of months ago and posted them here, well #1 is a repeat for those who may not have seen them and the others are shots I took a couple of days ago..........they are all grown up now!
This is definitely one of the chicks as you can still see the two of them "cuddled" up to each other, only I can't get a clear shot of them when they are! They have also moved from next door to a tree in my back yard.
Hi Bob
I remember you earlier post as I had never seen or heard of such a Owl. What a difference in the last two poses, that is a very interesing bird! Thanks for the update, the original post had caught my eye. I am glad to see them again.
Very cool birds. That 3rd shot just amazes me. I remember your last post with a similar shot of the parent trying to look like a branch. Great captures on these most interesting creatures. Nature is truely incredible sometimes.
JJBuB........Since the birds tend to come back and breed in the same place each year I may be able to get some more chick photos, thank you for your comments
Ted......Thanks for your comments and I hope your first owl is not far away.
We have the whole family home and it is Christmas morning here so I better get off the computer and start the day rolling!
Awesome birds!
#3 is great because of his wary eye: the bird knows he's spotted, but stubborn as he is, remaining his posture, making him a bit odd....
