p.1 #1 · Twilight ice (near-absence of colour)

Please excuse the technical title I was out in the hope to catch
some sunset colours, but the sky quickly filled with foggy clouds,
so there's hardly any colour in here.

Comments, critique, and criticism very welcome. Thanks for looking
and merry christmas to whom it may concern! Marc.

Too bad the light didn't help out, as it is it's a bit monotone.
I'd change the white border into a black one.

The concept is elegant. I would have really liked this shot with a greater DoF. I would suggest a square crop of the lower half.

I am going to disagree with all of my friends... I love this Marc. I think the white border works great. And I love the limited DOF on this. Way to go on including the black reflection of a tree or pole in this, it helps in a very real way to guide the eye.

For me... don't touch a thing... just print it big!

mercapto, Tim, Jim, Thanks for your comments! I suggest
a virtual group hug

As for the dof, this was already shot with f22, so there's not
much I could've done. Has anyone ever tried a blend of different
exposures, where focus is on different points? Cropping would
get rid of the oof part of course, but it would also completely
destroy the concept.

Jim, glad you like the tree and the border
