Re: # 276 Egg Toss

I caught these two artist's models playing catch with an egg.

This was a lot of fun to make. Believe it or not, everything is photographic. Nothing was made up in Photoshop.

Edited by Strad on Dec 17, 2007 at 03:05 PM GMT (Reason: Added a little blur to the egg)

Re: # 276 Egg Toss

How cool is this shot. Looks like a wooden version of the Will Smith's movie "I Robot" A really nice approach to the WA not to mention Endre, the toys!! Great comp.

Re: # 276 Egg Toss

Yes I do think I like the egg blurred. I love the color of the wood constrasting against the brilliant blue background I also like the surealistic design.

Endre,

Love it! What a great take on this weeks WA. I agree with the other the blur on the egg really gives the shot some motion. Very well done, good luck.

Thanks so much, Steve, my friend! I'm so glad you like it! I can always count on you to amused by my stuff. Actually. I was at a complete loss over what to shoot when i happe4ned to be in my oldest daughter's room and saw the wooden artist's mannequin. Immediately, the whole photo popped into my head almost as you se it here. The only thing that I didn't anticipate were the wispy clouds outside when I went to set up the shot. That accounts for the background.

All best wishes,

Endre

PS: I've never seen that movie. It looked kind of interesting from the trailsers. I'll have to rent it.

Thank you, Steve! I'm glad you like it and always appreciate your kind comments. I try to use natural light whenever possible - which always seems to come out the best.

Thanks so much for your comment. i'm glad you like it and I, too, think it's better with the slight blur on the egg.

All the best,

Endre

Thanks, Bill! I'm happy you like it! i frequetly like adding the shot of the Moon and Venus into my more abstract photo creations. It's kind of a little lightmotif of mine.

All best wishes,

Endre

Re: # 276 Egg Toss

Endre, you are indeed the MASTER! What a wonderful composition! I love the sky with the moon and Venus, and I think the shadows of your models really add to the overall image. Great addition with the blur on the egg, although I didn't see the previous one. I can see that it wouldn't have been as dramatic without it, so that was an excellent touch, my friend!

I think Fred's gonna love it, too.

Thanks so much, Carrol. I'm so glad you like it. A long time ago I learned a little about ideas of classical artistic composition. This one is in the X pattern which is why your eye bounces around inside the frame.

All best wishes,

Endre
