p.1 #1 · Copyright Signatures--how to??

How do you add a signature, date, and copyright symbol to your photos?

Also, how do you add a watermark?

I ask b/c at least three sites have my photos on them with "Download" buttons next to them (without my permission, I might add!), and I'd like to add a copyright signature to all images in future.

Btw, I use a Mac.

Thanks for your help!

Gary

What software do you use on your Mac? If you're using Photoshop, there is a Text tool...or, you can create a custom brush.

I use iPhoto for most minor editing, and PS for major work. I'd like to add a signature to all photos as a batch.

Here's a 'brush' tutorial that I found in Google . . .

Another way is somewhat less complex and far more accurate to your real life signature. At least to those of us who can't write using a mouse at all!

Sign your name with a black pen (preferably something that isn't extremely fine point) and then take a good picture of it with your camera. Smart select the writing and paste it onto a transparent background. Save that file and open it anytime you need to copy and paste a signature onto a final image.

Voila!

You could use a scan of your signature, or do it all with the text tool...it really doesn't matter. The great thing about using the brush is never having to locate that file with your signature, it's always available in the menu.

Or, just create an action (which is what I did) to enter the copyright text (I include the URL to my website).

Thanks, everyone. But how do you do it to several photos at once?

This works pretty well, albeit for $20:

Google for "PictureShark" shareware.
Very easy for batch processing watermarks and easy to use with multiple features.

Also, Breezebrowser handles this very nicely.
