p.1 #1 · blown exposure..could use some advice

I metered this wrong and blew the exposure. Any advice (particular recovery the detail in the grooms tux) is most appreciated.

Mark,
Did you shoot in RAW? If so, want to email the image. If not, it can still be improved with dramatic use of shadow/highlight and exposure adustment in LR. Be glad to post a quick version.

Here's what I did - it is pretty low resolution so it does not look great -

I opened levels and adjusted white balance (white on dress and black on suite).
I adjusted the saturation - the skin looked too orange for me
Then I used magic wand to select his suit (ctrl click to add more selection on mac)
Then I cranked up the shadows a bit, Then I used noise to bring the noise down on the suit

Then I posted.

I agree with sbeme that raw would be much easier to work with.

Scott & Scott,
Yes I shot in raw and I just emailed you. Much appreciation for your help.

Scott,
Thanks for the edit. I haven't used PS in a while and my skills are very rusty. I went ahead and purchased PS3 and Lightroom. I had forgotten about using magic wand to select just the suit.
I will use that after processing in lightroom. I cannot believe the effective tools in LR. I kick myself for not buying this sooner.

Thanks!

If you shot it raw, I think you'll be okay. You may want to remove some of the green cast in the skin tones in addition.
