might seem dumb but I have had more then my share of people interested in me shooting sports and even protraits for them.
the problem is I am new at this and really don't know what is acceptable in terms of price.
example I had an acquantance want me to come out and shoot shots of his baseball team for a couple hours. I ended taking 300-400 shots. He wanted to use them for advertising his AAU team. What would be an average price for something like this, and how many shots should be included in that price? Just trying to get an idea here.
I am sure I have been too cheap on average but this is more of a hobby for me at this point.
i shoot my kids pop warner games and parents are always wanting me to shoot their kids etc... I normally just give them a few on disc.
i am just looking for ideas here as I am not a pro but just an semi serious shooter at this point, I would like to get more serious with it in the future, my oldest starts HS next year.
NExt year I plan to do buddy shots for our football league and also do the buttons that moms like to wear on them. The people that come to take the shots tend to get over whelmed by the excessive load I think and the pins don't come until just before the season ends, they want them like tomorrow you know.

Also what does a shot go that is published in a magazine or what do people get paid for freelance for a news paper etc.... should this come up. I have had the paper request photos from me but I have always just gave them to them to use.

If you've given work for FREE it's going to be difficult to demand payment in the future...they'll probably find another shooter to give them more FREE shots.
