Now that is a face only another Carp would love This made me chuckle, very nice shot, and a creative take on the WA. I really like the composition. Well dne.

Hi Frank!
Glad to hear no carp were harmed!
There's a place close to where I live where someone mentioned a 50lb carp was caught. Yours was only 14 lbs? It looks bigger than that!
Catching one of those would definitely attract me into coming back to get more!

Wow, love the colors here. My koi would find this fish very attractive I'm sure!! How about CPKR (cath, photo, kiss, release)? lol
That CPKR is what Jimmy Houston does, Bev, but not me . Some of my associates have caught koi and huge goldfish on the same baits. Thanks for the comments.--Frank

Thanks, Bob. Yes, they do get that big, but out of the DesPlaines River, the common catches are 3-15 pounds.--Frank
There will be a Mrs Carp out there somewhere who will find that face attractive, glad you CPR'd as Mrs Carp would be rather upset.....
Great colours.
Good luck

I can buy fish for less trouble than cleaning them, Howard. Come to think of it, I haven't brought a fish home in over 20 years; so Mrs. Carp, Mrs. Bass, Mrs. Bluegill, etc. can all breathe easy.--Frank
Great job! Lighting and colors are superb. You even were able to capture that slimy looking skin or perhaps I should say scales. Not so sure I would be attracted it on or off the plate but I am sure another carp would.
Oh Frank, what a great face!! For all we know, he might be the most handsome Carp in the water, and lady Carp are lining up just hoping to 'catch' his eye.
Since you caught him first, they'll be glad you put him back into the dating 'pool.'
Excellent execution, great color, and a clever concept. Super job!

Karen--I share your sentiments about its attractiveness as table fare. Thanks for your very kind comments.--Frank
