I like the first one because the lighting is so dynamic and reminds of the fervor I felt in the city of Shanghai when I visited it. I would have preferred (perhaps) to have the ferrry boat not be there, but that is part of life in that city so perhaps it adds more than it detracts. To me the second shot could be almost any large city but the first one jumps out and gives you an impression of the vitality that the entire region has.

Here is your second opinion from Omaha.
The second one. Really powerful light.

I prefer the second one, I find the motion-blurred boat a little distracting on the first one.

I prefer 2nd as well. I bit too cluttered in the 1st.

Here's a vote for 1 on account of the colors (blues, green, pink). Much more to attract my interest than 2. They're so attractive I did not notice the blurred ferry till others pointed it out.

1 would be much better for me without the strange thing middle right. With it 2 is better.

1 would be better because the lights are nice.

Nice horizon,focus, composition on both.

the lights are fabulous in #1, but the blurred boat is just too distracting for me imho, so I gotta go with #2

I like the 2nd one, but can do more PP as the tallest building looks tilted.
