p.1 #1 · 1D2 Remaining Shots Problem

I've been using 8gb Sandisk Extreme III CF cards in my 1D2 without any problems. This evening I noticed that the remaining shots number displayed in the LCD is wrong. I am getting 244. I have check CF8 and it is set for ISO/Remaining Shots. I have reformatted the card in the camera as well as on my computer. No change. I know in the past, the number was much higher when set for RAW. Even if I set for jpg, it doesn't change. What have I set wrong. I have tried my other 8gb Sandisks in the camera with the same result. When I put the cards into my XT it reports 811.

Try resetting your camera's counter. You are nearing 10,000 shots on that folder. Or maybe create a new folder.

You are correct about nearing the 10K shots for the folder. I forgot that I had the same problem the last time I was turning a 10K point. Thanks for reminding me.
