p.1 #1 · Help with FNIII 8 - 11

Hi,
I have been reading about focusing problems. I am not sure if my problems are with the camera or me.

I have the descriptions of the FN III 8-11 but still am not sure how to set them

Tomorrow I will be shooting involving children on playground. I will be using the 28-300 L lens with the MKIIII.

Any suggestions will be helpful.

I'd set III-8 to 2 . . but would go to 0 IF you are able to consistently keep the selected AF point exactly where you want it. 2 is for when you are likely to occasionally get the selected AF point off your subject for short periods of time.

III-9 set to 0 . . I prefer to be able to select any of the 19 AF points

III-10 set to 0 . . but you need to set it to 1 if you want to register an AF point and be able to get to it quickly with the multi-point controller.

III-11 set to 0 . . but whatever floats your boat is fine here

Of the ones you've mentioned, only III-8 is important to AF acquisition performance.
