OK, these aren't FF, I'm not thinking of jumping ship to Canon, I can't find anything to complain about over my equipment, so all in all, this thread will be kind of boring. Nevertheless, some fun stuff from the past week or so, taken purely because I like shooting, I like shooting with the equipment I have, and because I never feel I have to make apologies for said equipment .
My only complaint is I cain't have all the Glass that Nikon offers, a D2h and 2 D2X's. BTW - I love purely shooting too and this week while on vaction I will be very busy. Im headed to the Desert in Oregon and will post my boring pictures when I get back. Love the shot of the horse
Not full frame and you took a chance and shot anyway? very risky.
Yeah, but I figured I only live twice, so I'd risk it all anyway .. Thanks for this .

Thanks Christian - I'll very much look forward to seeing your images when you get back. I have to admit, the only other thing I'd wish for now is a second D2X body. The D2H is a great camera, but deserves to be used as a primary body, not a backup. Maybe next year . Thanks for the comments .
Fall? Already? Yer killin' me!
I really like the scene with the blown sky. You really get a sense of the brightness. Both of the abstracts are appealing, love the golden colors of the first one, and great movement of the goldenrod of the second one.
Didn't I email that secret firmware upgrade for FF mode?
Nice shots Glenn. I like the one with the blown sky as well. It makes me want to squint when I look toward the top of it. Nice job communicating the feeling of being there.
Thanks Chris, appreciate that. That's kind of how I felt when looking through the viewfinder as I was panning around the area .

Thanks much Jack . Really appreciate that very much. Yes, I got the firmware update, but after I installed it I started getting some really soft images. The horse above and the mist ones are examples. I don't know what to think about it, but I'd say there's a bug in my FF imagerator. Bummer.

Thank you David, I really appreciate that very much . Gotta love blinding mists (at least, I do ).
Hey David,
I owe you an email . Hopefully this evening if I get a few minutes, but later for sure. I gather you saw the images re the tornadoes that hit here (I also have a short memory ;( ). Didn't miss us by very much, let me tell you!
Anyway, definitely a trip is in order, although my time is about to get a whole lot tighter come September for shooting. I'm taking a bunch of Fridays off in order to free up some more time, so if that interests you, we might hook up there (hope you like very early mornings though ).
