p.1 #1 · Traveling need post critique on 3 photos please...

Hey gang,

I'm traveling and using a laptop I've never used for post processing before. I'm using the same apps as I do on my base system at home and I just new a few sets of eyes on these shots to see if there are any possible issues. I would like to post-process in the evening rather than having to wait until I arrive at home.

Mainly concerned about any dust spots I missed on this crappy laptop screen (only the f/14 landscape shots), levels, staturation, and color temperature, or anything else.

Thanks,

Roy

Hi Roy ,

I particularly like the pastel-misty nature of the second piture ; pleasing composition , too . The first picture is less appealing to me , and the foreground rock features seem very soft to me , if not out of focus slightly . The strelitzia is fine and sharp , but somewhat over-saturated on my home monitor .

Can't spot any dust spots , and share with you the frustration of travelling and processing with a laptop !

I'm with Adrian on this too. I like #2 the best. #1 has a drab sky, whereas #2 has the beautiful pastel sky. The water is nicely blurred.

Hi Roy,
Nr 1: the big rock doesn't belong there.
Nr 2 : great shot.
Nr 3: saturation is good.

Have a great trip and bring back some more good shots.

The second is a beauty. The first could use something in the foreground. The bird of paradise looks great Roy.

Thanks morris!

Okay...here are two more and the second frame with a better sky. Just would like to know if #3 is underexposed any? My laptop monitor may be too bright but I'm not sure. Looking at the levels histogram it should be okay.

Nice shots and PP ... I like the feel of the pics. No critique for #'s 2 and 3 in the first post, but number one could have a little more color, and I'd like to see more detail in the large rock also. It's too dark on my screen.
