p.1 #1 · Zeiss-Canon adapter

I have an older Zeiss Sonnar 85 f/2.8 lens that I would like to try on my Canon body. Please tell me the correct adapter that is needed and possibly a link for purchasing. I would assume like everything else, there are different levels of quality to these. Any suggestions on the best one out there. Thanks in advance

I use generic Contax C/Y to EOS adapters from eBay with fine results, with a variety of Zeiss lenses. You can get 'plain' adapters and adapters with 'focus confirmation' chips that enable the body to signal when it thinks the image is in focus, using the focus-confirm green light/disk in the lower right corner of many (most) EOS body finders. I find that I don't use the focus confirm light very often, but many other users really like them. You'll get a lot of responses to this question on the Alternative forum, where most of the alternatives hang out.

Happypage adapters are very popular AF confirm CZ/EOS adapters - they have a storefront on eBay.
