p.1 #1 · Just a Tiger Swallowtail.

Out in the S.F Bay Area, these are pretty common, but I never tire of their beauty & grace.

These were taken at the Alviso wetlands (Don Edwards?) preserve.
When I want to relax at lunchtime, I just head over, about 10 minutes from work and wander in the gardens.

2, 3, and 4 look pretty soft to my eye Dan. Looks like the wings are in focus but the eye and head are OOF.

EXIF data isn't intact so I'm not sure what your Aperture or DOF were.

Number 6 would be my pick of the post. All lovely colors and captures. Just a bit soft on a few.

How lucky you are to be 10 minutes from Don E WLA. Out of curiousity are there any Terns, skimmers, Avocet or Stilt Chicks there?

I've only been there once and that was a year ago. Given it's 90 minutes south of me I'm curious to hear what's there before making the long drive.
