C & C always. I was only in the area for a day. I fought the mid day sun for this shot

farley,

nice shot but it seems overexposed by 1/2 - 2/3 of a stop, can you give it a tweek in the processing?

great use of a fisheye though

Cheers

Nice capture and use of WA lens. my nit would be the shadows casted on each side of the image in the foreground.

Thanks pinball_pw for the comment on the water. I was a little concerned about its appearance.

Thanks Ray that mid day sun is a killer for shadows.

I like the water effects!

Re: the shadows: Ferrell McCollough did an excellent HDR shot of Horse Shoe Bend in his book, "The Complete Guide to High Dynamic Range Digital Photography". Might be worth trying if you've never done HDR stuff before.

This is a fairly good shot. I had a hard time fitting it in with my widest lens when I visited. You've done a good job to include everything. The midday lighting is a little harsh, my only criticism.

Thanks ternus. I'll check out the book.
The widest I had was a 24mm. Although it came close it was not as wide as I wanted. So, I stitched it. thanks for looking and commenting gordon l.

Hey Ted,

I like the 2nd version. It's a nice mid day shot but as you noticed, it's a hard place to shoot unless you have a really wide lens.
