I had a pair of Grey Foxes in the yard last year, an occassional Osprey visit, RTH's, Coopers Hawks, Sharpies, Possum...etc. This is a new one and who has been eating my bird seed at night.
I stopped filling the bird feeder up in the evening and started filling it up in the morning. It changed it schedule and started coming by during daylight hours.
Crafty devils and very smart.
1. It seems very comfortable eating from the feeder.
but it's eating all the food I leave out for the feral cats - - not to my liking especially since I found it right next to the kitchen window on the table with all the bird, squirrel & cat food.
Thanks everyone. I know most consider these guys pests and they like to destroy everything that contains food/scraps but as of right now it's behaving. I may stop filling the feeder once it gets "comfortable" or it becomes a nuisance in the yard.
But as of right now it's too darn cute and a nice change to the usual song bird.
Very nice shots and commentary. We have suburbian 'coons that dig into garbage cans making a real mess. I would put that one in the "unwanted visitor" category . The other visitors on your guest list are terrific!
