Ahhh the sound of cracked corn hitting the ground, music to a turkeys ears. Yup my neighbor called me and said there were turkeys in his yard. So next morning I got my scratch board out and squeaked out some calls by making the sound of cracked corn hitting the ground. Yeah sure I did. JJJ The corn did it fine and got them right up to my door. DUMB…YUPJJ HA-HA-HA- Happy Thanksgiving if you’re not a Turkey

They are ugly when their young for sure. The Gobblers are much more hansome and if you can keep the young around the house all winter you will get some nice Toms to visit in the spring. Plenty of corn needed Have you ever seen them fight Awsome, I have photos.

I think he's trying to look like a rock or something - playing possum dead - but not turkey.... Or could it be that he's practicing oven position.....
Either way - - great shots. Their feathers seem so amazing in how they shimmer.
Fun shots with super detail.

Thanks Lil and I guess cracked corn will fill a frame every time. As fo the oven well I'll take a ButterBall every time. One bite on that drumstick will keep you chewing all day Like a rock they are, lots of excerise.
