p.1 #1 · Canon 50D or Nikon D90???

Hi all:

I just have some $ to spend on one of the above camera. Tried them out yesterday and like them both.

I also heard 50d has some 99 error code. dont know much about D90.

Any advice

Wouldn't worry about the Er99- only people that have had problems report them. People without problems are happily shooting away. In a small percentage of cameras, errors can and will occur. That's a fact of life. But that's what warranties are for.

Every camera has a potential of locking up. They are computers after all.

Unless you never use anything but a kit lens, you don't just buy a camera you buy into a system. Is, overall, EOS or Nikon more appealing to you.

i was too busy in the past year so I sold all my canon lenses. and now, unexpected fund is available for me to spend on camera. maybe, i have to try out again.

I love when this gets asked the Canon forum. Although, lately, I'd expect to hear a few "get a D700" as a response.
