I've had my D700 and 14-24 for over a week now and really have not had a chance to shoot with it much. Traveling for work today I decided on the way home to make a stop or two and shoot a few images. Nothing terribly exciting, but I love the 14-24. Its so nice to be able to shoot so wide without any distortion like I hated with my 10.5x fisheye.

Michael, can I ask what picture controls you shot these with? The colours are wonderfully punchy without being over-saturated I love them.
Mark,
I shoot RAW - I had developed my own Lightroom preset that I used with My D300 - I've just been using that same preset with the D700. Once I have some time I'll take a closer look to customize my preset to the D700 a bit better.
.......so pretty much all I'm doing is shooting RAW (Adobe RGB Color Space), importing into LR and applying my own custom preset upon import - convert files to DNG and ProPhoto Colorspace, tweaking exposure a bit if necessary, exporting as a JPEG RGB Colorspace. The one thing I did notice with the D700 and my current LR preset is I needed to back down the reds a bit.
