Guy bought a bunch of pedestrian Pentax gear. ZM-X body, four lenses, flash, filters etc for $400.
Not bad, but someone was paying attention. Buried in the listing, the 28mm Pentax on offer was in fact the SMC 3.5 Shift lens with built in filters. Not part of the searchable listing description I don't think... The buyer could then sell rest for a couple hundred bucks or so. I think the Pentax Shift lens sells for around $800 at other places...
The SMCP 28/3.5 Shift generally goes for about $550 on eBay, and $600 to $825 at used gear shops. You're right that it was a good buy, but I wouldn't say the lens was buried in the listing. All four lenses were eplicitly listed. It was incorrectly identified as an "-M" lens, but it did say "28mm Shift" right at the start of the line.
