Most MF digital back manufacturers brag about not using microlenses in their literature, I wonder if the new larger microlenses on the 50D and 5DII could increase color cast when using tilt/shift lenses?

They're the gapless doodads in the 50D and 5DII that create bigger pixels in a sense. It's supposed to help keep noise down they say.

Oh, didn't realize they were "microlenses". But I have no idea in reference to the op's question, especially having never used a T/S lens.

Some older medium-format Kodak sensors are known to have color shift problems when the light hits the sensor at an angle (when using very wide angle lenses or view camera movements). Sensors without microlenses allegedly have less of a problem with this.

The microlenses are smaller or similar in size to those of earlier models, not larger, yet have less wasted space.
