p.1 #1 · Noisy IS Canon 70=200 lens?

My Canon 70-200mm IS lens has a grindy-hissy noise! Also, when walking it feels and sounds like a lens element is loose. The lens seems to function OK, but seems to be getting louder. Debating sending to Canon for check and repair!

Have others experienced similar noisy IS, and could Canon resolve issue?

no mine is quiet too, it hums if you put your ear on it but thats it. may be time to send it in, is it the f4 or 2.8?

Mine is unusually noisy (2.8 IS). It has always been like this and was fresh from refurbishment at Canon US. I was worried, so I listened to my friend's and its the same.

It is nowhere as quiet as the one on my 17-85 IS.
