I snapped this before a show this past week, wasn't an arranged thing or anything so I didn't have much control over lighting or positioning.

I like the picture a lot you focused a lot on the person. the instrument did not take over the whole image...it's composed and PP well...the border I am not sure about, I would like to see it without a border just for comparison...again great job

I agree on the border. I find it more distracting rather than complimenting.

Do you have a similar picture that shows the banjo?

Thanks for the compliments and critiques. I was trying for an old time look which I suppose failed, perhaps I should have looked into toning the photo.

here is a similar image. The image used to create this one is on another drive and I'll dig that out tomorrow.

The framing as a style is very reminiscent of the back of record albums in the 70's, and I could easily see this particular shot as a liner notes photo in a Bela Flek CD. I think it works, even if it ages me, but agree with some adjustment to the tone
