p.1 #1 · cant figure out this working space stuff

it seems like i used to not ever worry about this but now i am noticing it! my pictures are duller when i save than when i am working in photoshop! i shoot in srgb, edit in srgb, so why are my images looking dull when saved to jpg?

What program are you seeing this dullness in?

The browser has no bearing on this issue.

1) BEFORE you open an image, go to Edit>Color Settings>Working Space, make sure it's set to sRGB, again, BEFORE you open your image. If you shoot in sRGB (?) then when you open the image you will get no warning. If the image is shot Adobe RGB you'll get a warning notice, say yes.

2) File>Save for web and devices> and proceed from there. Bet sure the dialoque box is set for "2-up" so you can see the original with the resulting jpg to be sure they match.

This should solve your problem.
