Good glass IMHO.

If I didn't have one this would be tempting.

For those with D3 (or D700 plans) this lens is designed for the dx sensors IIRC.

It's a fairly good lens for DX. I have a sharp copy.
People are buying these used over B&S for around the same price. It's $429 at B&H.

Looks like a good deal. Hopefully it drives the ridiculous used prices down (I've seen $375+).

I've wanted one of these but its not in the cards right now.

Love my 30 1.4, wish it had full res on my D3. Stayed glued to my D200 for my getting ready shots at weddings.

In this age of credit card protection, I don't worry about shopping anywhere online. Worst case, the bank has to figure it out for me... takes 24 hours max. Best case, I get a good deal. No, I don't bother with the bait and switch houses (although some day I would like to spend an afternoon trying to get a $3000 D3 out of broadway); but places like abes with so so reputations are worth the "risk" to me.

They sell Imports with only 1 yr warranty. Places like B&H give an add'l 3. With QC issues
what they are...getting what you pay for rings a bit truer.

I believe it's USA version they are selling at Abe's http://www.abesofmaine.com/item.do?item=SG3014EXAFN. I bought couple times from them before and had a good deal on BRAND NEW USA products.
