p.1 #1 · #303: Magic Tree

Not very much, if anything, will grow in the Cheltenham Badlands. This tree has defied all odds and rooted itself in the "Queenston Shale". It must be a magic tree.

Replaced original with identical shot but framed with more room at top.

Hi Bill,

Lovely capture of this testament to the hardiness of some trees. I like the shot, but I do have one nit. I would like to see a bit more room on the top, but still a very nice shot.

Best wishes,

Steve

A very unique capture!
This tree must have deep roots.
Neat colors, too.

Very cool looking, and I agree with Steve and would like to see the top too. What is at the top of that little hill? Is it far to the top?

Your great contrasting colors really emphasize the point of the shot. Nice job!

Thank you all for the nice comments and advice.

Steve I'm certain that I have a wider shot with more room at the top. I'll check tonight when I get home and re-post.

Nathan, no it's not far to the top. I may have a wide angle shot from below that I will display later tonight that should give you a larger perspective.

Cheers, Bill

I like this, Bill. My eye goes to the seeming tree shape formed by the rock cracks on the left. Very colorful entry.

Very nicely captured Bill..it always amazes me how trees take root in such strange and difficult places. Colors and composition make this a lovely image.
