Had a session in Santa Cruz, (how's that for location Mel ). Real fun, down to earth folks. Let me do whatever I wanted.
My set up 5D with the 50 1.4 and the 70~200. Match made in heaven.
I actually shot this a week before their wedding day. He's an f~16 fighter pilot in our U.S. military and wasn't available till just before the wedding. I'm getting the wedding shot done as we speak. Their wedding was the tragic one where one of the guest died when crashed his ultra light during the reception. sad, sad situation: Crash link
I love the concept and compsotion of #9... I just wish his pants weren't so bulky and fabirc-y at the pockets. And maybe his ankles crossed?? He's just a tad awkward.
But #12 To DIE for! I'll be doing something like this one! I kind of have already... but it didn't turn out as nice as yours.
Awesome! I have looked at a lot of big name pro wedding photographers images, don't get me wrong they are really good... but yours seem to have lots of emotion to them. Gives you the feeling that you know the couple without meeting them, informal and very fun! I am certain that this couple will greatly appreciate your work years down the road.
EXCELLENT!
Color/lighting in 5 is superb! 15 is very creative and fun. How'd you get the circular blur in 16? photoshop?
Mel,
God if your ever right. When he came out the car with those pants I winced. The were at least 3 sizes too big. I also had him change out from a green sweater thing he came out in. Thanks again girl.
Brian,
Thanks for the kind words. Yes, 16 was a radial blur in PS set to 1. I only use it when there is some type of other motion going on in the frame. In this case, a wave.
Looks like you guys had a lot of fun!
I wish their faces were a little more excited in #6, it's still great though!
12, 15, 17 are winners! Great job, as usual!
